Dead Island 2 is an upcoming open world survival horror action role-playing video game developed by Sumo Digital and published by Deep Silver for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the sequel to the 2011 video game Dead Island and the third major installment in the Dead Island series. The game was announced at E3 2014, but has since been delayed multiple times.

The game takes place several months after the events of Dead Island and Escape Dead Island, on the west coast of America. Players take control of a new set of survivors as they fight against zombies, other survivors, and various factions. The game features four-player co-op multiplayer, with up to eight players in PvP mode. Players can also customize their characters with various weapons and skills.
