Madonna and Child with St. Anne is an oil painting by the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci, dating from c. 1508 and housed in the Louvre, Paris. It shows the Virgin Mary sitting on the knee of her mother St Anne, with the infant Jesus standing upright between them. The painting is notable for its complex composition, its graceful figures, and its soft yet realistic style of painting. It is one of Leonardo's most famous works and has been much reproduced and copied.
