City on Fire is a 1987 Hong Kong crime drama film directed by Ringo Lam and starring Chow Yun-fat, Danny Lee, and Sally Yeh. The film follows a police officer and an undercover cop as they investigate a series of robberies and murders in the city. The movie is considered one of the most influential Hong Kong films of the 1980s and was an early example of the "heroic bloodshed" genre. It was remade in Hollywood as Heat (1995) starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.
