Electric field strength is a measure of the force that a static electric field exerts on a charged particle. It is measured in volts per meter (V/m) and is represented by the symbol E. Electric field strength can be calculated by dividing the voltage difference between two points by the distance between them. Electric field strength can also be determined by measuring the force exerted on a charged particle placed in the electric field.
