The most difficult Pasadena ISD high school football schedule to ever see the light of day has finally been released by the school district's athletic department. You know that tentative schedule that the coaches sort of had planned out after the UIL's realignment soooo long ago back in February, those schedules were long trashed. And those revised schedules after that didn't didn't have much of a lifespan either. But here we are, one month before hopefully a much-anticipated kickoff of delayed season openers and the five programs have at long last a road map of where they'll be each and every weekend. In all, an estimated half-dozen opponents planned after the realignment meeting have gone bye-bye. All five programs lost at least one opponent, while coming up with a new opponent, South Houston being the exception. The Trojans lost an original opponent but didn't gain a new one. Starting with Dobie, here's a look at each program's 2020 schedule. The Longhorns will have a full compliment of four non-district contests and it will be a fresh group. Head coach Kevin Berneathy's squad will oppose Jersey Village, Bellaire, Fort Bend Bush and Willis for their non-district games. The Willis game arrives after Dobie opens district. The Jersey Village game, scheduled for Sept. 25, will be a 7 p.m. home contest and it will be Dobie's first meeting with the Falcons since 2001. Although they only played in the 2000 and 2001 seasons, the Longhorns will be looking for their first win.
