The 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC) is an international professional baseball competition, composed of 20 competing nations, held from March 8 to March 21, 2023. It will be the fifth iteration of the World Baseball Classic. The first-round hosts cities will be Taichung, Tokyo, Phoenix, and Miami. The second-round hosts will be Miami and Tokyo, and the championship round will be played in Miami.Twenty nations will compete in the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC). The tournament is being expanded from 16 to 20 national teams, with all teams that participated in the 2017 edition automatically qualifying, plus four additional spots. Participating nations had to submit their final 30-man rosters no later than February 7, 2023. WBC rules required teams to carry at least 14 pitchers and two catchers on their rosters.
