Tuvan throat singing, the main technique of which is known as khoomei (Tuvan: хөөмей, romanized: xöömej, Mongolian: хөөмий; ᠬᠦᠭᠡᠮᠡᠢ, romanized: khöömii, Russian: хоомей, Chinese: 呼麦, pinyin: hūmài), is a style of singing practiced by people in Tuva, Mongolia, and Siberia.
